My local store let me pre-pay for my DMP weeks in advance, for retail, and pick it up a night or two before the actual release.

the only thing is, you can still walk in any store and find og colored XIVs on shelves. Probably the only recent retro I can think of that hasn't flown off shelves. |

Shoe game is wack, but it's not gonna make me "Retire" or anything.
The way I see it is, I may not actually collect anymore, but I still buy what I like. If you can't get any of the new releases because of the hype, there's plenty of older releases to be had. It pisses me off that we can't get the stuff we want easily, but like I said. I'm not gonna stop buying shoes just because of all these fake shoe heads. There's plenty of old releases that I've always wanted and never bought.

I like these but I WOULD NOT camp out. Online or bust for me. Where do you guys live? The DMP pack in 06 was madness from what I heard. Dudes were hiding in bushes. My friend was 7th in line (became 8th) from the people hiding and they only had 7 to go around...

^ Seriously, I rememebr DMP's being crazy out here in Southern Cali.
I know Retro lives in Jersey or some**** so obviously nothing like NY, and Gonzo lives like in south dakota so of course he got them with ease.

Where in SoCal are you Salvi? I'm in NorCal, lol. People are serious for Jordans out here. Apparently people started camping out for the White Cement 4's around 2-3 P.M. at Shoe Palace near my place. Maybe I should buy the Columbias/Breds (whichever comes out) while I'm on vacation this year in Australia
Not sure how the lines/queues over there are but can't be anything as bad as here... I heard people are already camping for the Galaxy Foamposites in Sacramento. I honestly think the Concord release just made every release this year a living hell. Kinda got off topic but if these are really made in 'limited' amounts, it'll be just as between the IV's & the Concords.

I'm pretty sure only 1 store got DMPs up here in WA. though I very well could have not done good enough research, I was fairly new to the shoe game at that time I think. got lucky with the price I got a pack at later though

lmfao But, for me...I've only tried to get one difficult release which was SpaceJams. That didn't work out well, so I would never do it again. I was the first person in line to NOT get a pair. Waited overnight, and I'm next in line, and they said the last adult size was just taken smfh. NEVER AGAIN.

Shoes have always sold well in my area, its just that there were some spots where I had definite hookups, sometimes even less than retail on nice releases. A few of those spots don't even really get the good **** like that anymore, and if they do its like one size run so the majority are eatin up by employees before hand. I do have a HOH at my local mall only 10 minutes away, but theres always lines atleast a night ahead of time for the major stuff there...

It's unusual for big lineups here, but usually when they do happen it's for XIs. Still, the Cool Grey & Concords I copped easily since they did midnight releases... got to the store around 2pm and was close to the front of the line. Thankfully it's quite civil, too. I'm talking Sydney, can't say I've ever copped/lined up anywhere else. |

Yeah, releases over here almost seem like pure mayhem. People hiding in bathroom stalls at the mall, in bushes...
Where in Sydney have you lined up? I think I went to the mall in Parramatta last summer (your winter). No lines for the 4's over there? Edited by Dj5h1fT - 26 February 2012 at 3:17pm |
